Wayman McLaughlin - Pastor

Rev. Wayman McLaughlin Jr. was born in Winston Salem N.C., the youngest and only son of six children to the Rev. Dr. Wayman and Zenobia McLaughlin.  Rev. McLaughlin attended secondary school in Winston Salem and attended N.C. State University where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.  He began his professional career in Aiken S.C in 1988 and moved to Knoxville in 1995.  It was here in Knoxville, that Rev. McLaughlin accepted Christ as his Lord and personal Savior. 

Rev. Wayman McLaughlin Jr. received and accepted his call to the ministry in 2009.  His experience, wisdom, and passion for God make him a powerful expositor of God’s word.  He teaches principles from the bible which convict and encourage.  In an effort to increase his knowledge and to better defend the faith, Rev McLaughlin studied and earned a Masters of Theological Studies degree from Liberty University.  Rev. McLaughlin co-labors as co-pastor of GMBC along with his friend and brother Pastor Taylor Ogle. 

Rev. McLaughlin has been married to his lovely wife, Jacqueline, for over 31 years.  They have 4 wonderful children, one son - Wayman III, and 3 daughters - Juaquoya, Shekinah, and Zneyah.

Taylor Ogle - Pastor

Taylor is married to his wife, Ashley. They have four kids: Selah (3), Sophia (3), Josie Kate (3), and Asher (1).

Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University, where he was also a Walk-On Quarterback for the Clemson Tigers. He continued his education at Clemson University receiving a Master of Real Estate Development. He also holds a Master of Christian Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-6) from Middle Tennessee State University. Ashley worked several years as a Kindergarten and 1st Grade Teacher in Pendleton, SC and Nashville, TN.

Taylor was voted in at GMBC as a bi-vocational pastor in April of 2022. He works full-time in commercial real estate with Five Oaks Development.
